The Senate rolls through the studio for a special appearance. Heavy on the boogie cruisers, electro park jams, and a touch of Miami bass, the B4$ senate is worth a second listen:

This is sure to live up to it’s claim as the ‘filet’ of all Holiday parties!

Skylab

I’ll be joining Dekker and Unjust over at the Skylab party for a super-secret (check the flyer!) DJ set this Saturday at Sputnik in Clinton Hill. All sorts of dance records will be cued, mixed, & played for your pleasure! Location & directions are found below:

Apologies on the audio buffer for archived ADA episodes! I’m in the process of switching hosting, so hopefully bandwidth will no longer be an issue in the coming weeks. In the mean time, you can head to the WNYU Archives to get a clean stream of past episodes.

The kind people at ABL:Radio included the recent (Jump off) Street Beat mix (tape) in their weekly podcast! You can catch that here. ABL is a great source for recent DJ mixes, food & drink reviews, and all things Brooklyn.

They’ve also got a rather interesting party happening this Wednesday (Dec. 5th) over in Williamsburg:

Kiss&Tell

Here’s one of my fav. mixes from their archive:

Environ Environment

Spankie Hazard pays homage to Environ Records, and threads older boogie & disco influences alongside recent productions by Environ artists. HOT!

The 3rd Episode, recorded from the live broadcast on 11.17.07. Part 1 moves from some more orchestrated jazz-funk material (Check Axelrod’s Holy Thursday!) to mid-tempo disco/funk, including the first million dollar selling dance 12″ ‘Do You Wanna Get Funky With Me’. Part 2’s a soul/boogie workout, including the massive ‘Why Did You Do It’ by Johnny Nash & The Main Ingredient’s ‘Work to do’. Check it!

STREET BEAT

download

Mixed live on a Sunday afternoon by B3nn3tt4$enat3 and Mike McGill. Boogie, disco, r&b, electro and freestyle jams, dedicated to your mama. No samples cleared, 100% bump, low carbs and a few white boys, sleazy synthesizers and packed dancefloors. Body2Body2Africa and back to the space station; anticipation, triumph, lessons learned.

(this is a little something Mike and I have been working on since he moved to my block earlier in the summer. Catch Mike every Friday from 10:30pm-1am on his show “A Downtown Affair” on WNYU 89.1FM in New York City, or at WNYU.org, and keep an ear to the FAT for more collabo-jawns to come. And always stay tuned to the Music page for the FATtest jams 24/7.)
